Frequently asked questions
How many people live at Juniper Lane?
Six residents at most. There are four private rooms and one shared room, and the home is licensed for six.
Who is in the house at night?
A caregiver is awake in the house every night. Sarah, the nurse-owner, lives ten minutes away and is on call.
Can residents bring their own furniture?
Yes, and we encourage it. A favourite chair, photographs and a familiar bedspread make the first weeks much easier.
What languages are spoken?
English, Spanish and Tagalog. Most days all three are heard at the kitchen table.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Some rooms are available to residents on Medicaid and some are private pay. Ask us which rooms are open now and what applies.
Can we visit whenever we like?
Families are welcome any day. We ask that you avoid mealtimes and early mornings so residents keep their routines, and that you join us for lunch whenever you can.
What happens if care needs change?
We review the care plan with you and adjust it. If someone's needs grow beyond what the home can safely provide, we tell you early and help you plan the next step.
How do we start?
Call or send a message. We will talk about the person's needs, arrange a visit, and if it looks like a good fit, set up an assessment.
